I was sitting in front of the Junior High School the other day, waiting for my daughter, when I noticed the most peculiar thing! Now I know it is Jr. High and peculiar is norm there, but what I noticed was their choice of footwear - Ugg Slippers. That was boys and girls, mind you.
You know, the fuzzy ones that slip on that we used to call mules. The boys like the moccasin-looking slippers. And the one that all the popular kids are wearing (puhlease!!!) are Uggs.
You might recognize the name - they are the makers of those Australian sheepskin boots that have been off-the-chart popular for a few years - they're back again this year. Ugh boots worn with leggings or skinny jeans tucked in and a big bulky sweater are the hit!
However, my friend tried her daughter's on and she said they were soooo totally comfy!! In fact, she is thinking that she is going to have to have a pair. Which means I will have to in order to keep up with her, of course!! The soft sheepskin interior is great for feet warming.
The slip-ons are classy with the sheepskin cuffs and cool stitching on the top. The soles are made out of suede and have the UGG logo on the slipper, which is a great place for all to see.
So while you are shopping, I am sure you will want to be sure to spiffy up your boots by purchasing a new pair of Uggs. With winter around the corner, boots are a must for all closets. However, don't limit your imagination to winter as I have seen these being worn adorably with shorts. They look so cute! Seems like a great buy for what is an all-year-long shoe.
Dignity in tact, letting my teen purchase this "everyone is wearing them, Mom" item, I will of course point out the sensibilities and dependability of the slipper. And boy don't they look cute on those teens!
