As some of you may already know, I have recently done some renovating at our home. While it involved a lot of repainting, wall restorations and whatnot, the first thing that people noticed when I brought them over was the new floor. The whole ground floor currently sports polished concrete, and it catches their eye even more so than my new espresso machine (nuts!).
No harm done, they eventually noticed my coffee machine when I served some to them. As soon as the coffee compliments started to wane, however, they began talking about how amazing the floor was again. They even asked me how I did it, and to teach them how to perform the secret "concrete polishing" technique.
Unfortunately for my friends, I do not know a secret handshake that initiates me into an elite concrete polishing club. I may have done most of the renovation work myself, including replacing some destroyed wooden floors upstairs, but the Concrete Polishing was not me. Well, it was me who initially removed the unsightly tiles that I used to call the house's flooring, but my only real part in that was going online to find a contractor in my area. He did most of the work for me.
So, if you want an astonishing concrete floor like mine, I would suggest going to concretepolishing.org. The people there are experts in their field, and they could do a much better job than you could ever do yourself. They know how to utilize the innovations in concrete polishing, aware of how to use different grits of diamond. As for me, all I know is they start with the low grits for coarse cutting or grinding, and go to progressively higher grits to establish that shine.
Your floor will look amazing when polished, and I also noticed that they add in densifiers at certain time intervals. This would help in making the concrete last. Finally, you could have some color added to it; mine sports a coffee finish that I'm proud of.
