While looking at the different styles and set ups for the new vanity, you need to make the correct decision when shopping for the mirror that is going to be placed above the bathroom vanity sink. There is a good chance that when you moved in you left the original bathroom mirror no matter if the mirror was the wrong size or not. When you are looking into any type of renovation of your bathroom design you need to make sure that you add personality but you need to understand how to pick the right mirror for your bathroom.

The choice that you make when searching for your bathroom vanity can show your personality and what style of decorating you are aiming for. The decorative mirror is not the only large piece of furniture that is controlled by you. The mirror is located eye level which is an important element for your bathroom because the guests will see all the fine details of the mirror.

Since your teenager years you have been using a bathroom vanity mirror to get ready for school or work. Usually in a public bathroom you will find a mirror so you can check your appearance before going back out in public. There is a chance that you have been seeing yourself in the mirror since as an infant and your guests have also.

Think about it. Even a public restroom has a mirror, generally just a slab of glass that people can check their reflection in. You want to give your guests a more comfortable feel when they are in your restroom than they get from a public bathroom. Plus, almost everybody is going to check their reflection out in the mirror before they leave, meaning almost everyone will notice your bathroom vanity mirror.

There are many ways that you can choose your bathroom vanity, but the best way to approach the matter is by looking at the size of your sink and the overall theme of your bathroom. In general, you want your mirror to be about the same size as your sink. If you have a small sink you may go a little larger, and vice versa, if you have a large sink you may go a little smaller.

Basically, you want your bathroom vanity to be the centerpiece of your restroom since you can control the type you pick, but you don't want to dramatically overpower the bathroom. Along the same lines, you don't want it to be so small it starts to lack a practical purpose. One great way to balance your mirror if you have a larger sink is to place potpourri holders on either side or a towel holder. You can match the trimmings of this with the mirror for a more stellar feel.

The new bathroom vanity needs to be taking up on a certain percentage of the restroom. You do not want to have the vanity sticking out in the walkway when the guests enter. The reason for a set style in the lavatory is so the room coordinates with the rest of your home.
